Our Arts Learning Area is comprised of programs in Dance, Drama, Media, Photography and Visual Arts. In Years 7, 8 students rotate through the disciplines so that they develop a strong foundation for continued learning and skill development.聽 Our Music program caters for students continuing with the IMSS program from primary school, and for those who learn privately who have elected music on their enrolment forms. Students in the Music program experience a different rotation through the Arts subjects in Year 7 and 8 compared to other students, allowing for a continuation of their music practise.
From Year 9 onwards more specialised Arts electives are available to students and links between the different Arts disciplines become clear to them as they experience and complete each course, and apply previous learning in new contexts.
In Year 10 students can continue in the Arts Learning Area, choosing subjects that prepare them for WACE or Certificate courses in Years 11 and 12.
